Issue: 

If you have updated your windows 10 or windows 11 to latest security patch on Jan 11th 2022 and later, you may not be able to connect to Versa VPN. Windows updated security KB5009543 for windows 10 and KB5009566 for windows 11. These security updates causes IP Security (IPSEC) connections which contain a Vendor ID to fail.


This issue is resolved:

Microsoft released rare out-of-band update to fix IPsec issues introduced on Jan 11th, 2022 updates on windows 10 and windows 11.

Install updates automatically:

Please try automatic updates to latest security updates from Microsoft. Follow this link to automatically update to latest security update from Microsoft - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/get-the-latest-windows-update-7d20e88c-0568-483a-37bc-c3885390d212


Install updates Manually:

If you are using intune or any other MDM which may prevent automatic updates from Microsoft, please download the security update manually and install using below steps.

Please chose right product in above link and download right security update for your laptop. Microsoft has stored the security update on http server(non-encrypted) so your browser may not allow by default to download files over unencrypted http so please allow your browser to download over http. If you have wget installed on your laptop, you can use wget to download security update. Once you download the security update file (file with extension .msu) on your laptop, double click the file and install the update.
