CDB Backup:  


Step 1: Login to the Versa gateway 

Once you are logged in then change directory to /opt/versa/confd/var/confd/cdb/ 


> cd /opt/versa/confd/var/confd/cdb/ 

> ls -lth *.cdb    (this contains O.cdbA.cdbC.cdb) 

> cp /opt/versa/confd/var/confd/cdb/*.cdb   /var/tmp/    (use sudo if you see permission denied)


 


To copy ckey file:


Step 2: Login to Device and go to path   /var/lib/vs/ and copy .ckey file to /var/tmp directory.

> cd /var/lib/vs/

> sudo cp .ckey /var/tmp/ckey.backup


 copy .ckey file to /var/tmp directory.



Step 3: Now you can see CDB files on versa gateway, but you need to copy it somewhere. To copy it on Backup server, use scp command from the Backup server: 


Step 4: SSH to Backup server run below command: 


(to copy cdb files)

scp -r admin@{GW_IP}:/var/tmp/*.cdb  /home/versa/DAILY_BACKUPS/CDB/{respected_headend _folder}

(to copy ckey file)

scp admin@{GW_IP}:/var/tmp/*.ckeybackup  /home/versa/DAILY_BACKUPS/CDB/{respected_headend _folder}

Example:

scp -r admin@{GW_IP}: /var/tmp/*.cdb  /home/versa/DAILY_BACKUPS/CDB/NOV

scp admin@{GW_IP}:/var/tmp/*.ckeybackup  /home/versa/DAILY_BACKUPS/CDB/{respected_headend _folder}

 

Step 5: Check in Backup server if you have copied all the backup files.
