Problem Description:

When you try to push the template or config from director to appliance, you will see the below error on the tasks UI and it will not push to the device.

Error:

Description :   Apply Template [ B1 ]

Initiated by :  Administrator

Running Messages :   

• Started
• Applying template to [B1]
• Applying-Template [ POST][ B1]Result=Failed
• Appliance update Failed

Errors :   

• Failed to authenticate towards device B1: SSH host key mismatch

Solution:

You need to execute the below command on director to match SSH host key.

Administrator@VD1> request devices device B1 ssh fetch-host-keys
