How to Request a File Reputation Change in Versa Guardian

Overview

The File Reputation Change Request workflow is available in Versa Guardian at guardian.versanow.net. Versa users can request that a file's reputation status be changed. Authorized operators review each request, and the reputation update is applied only after the request is approved and the update is submitted.

For Customers

The Guardian portal is accessible to Versa users only. If you would like a file's reputation reviewed or changed, contact your Versa Systems Engineer (SE) or open a case with Versa TAC. They can submit the request on your behalf for review.

How to Submit a Request (Versa Users)

  1. Log in to the Guardian UI using Entra ID or Versa IDP.
  2. Navigate to File Reputation → Change Requests.
  3. In File hashes, enter one or more SHA-256 file hashes, separated by commas. You can include up to 10 hashes in one request.
  4. In File status, select the requested status: KNOWN, UNKNOWN, SUSPICIOUS, or MALICIOUS.
  5. If the requested status is SUSPICIOUS or MALICIOUS, you can also provide a threat name and threat type. These fields are optional, but must be provided together.
  6. In Supporting Information & Justification, provide the file location for security team verification and explain why the change is required. Review the request details, then click Request Change.
  7. The request appears under Your Requests with a Pending status. You can cancel a pending request from this section.
