Problem:
Versa Director is unable to reach an appliance even after instantiation of the IKE tunnel from the appliance to the controller.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, you must add a static route on the Versa Director for the 10.0.0.0 network (used for SD-WAN management on CPEs) after which Versa Director connects to the appliances using NETCONF.
Follow these steps to add a static route on Versa Director using the GUI:
1. In the Director Context, select Administration > System > Static Routes.
2. Click + in the dashboard to open the Add Static Route window.
3. Enter this information in the Add Static Route window.
Field | Description |
Description | Enter the static route name. |
Destination Prefix | Enter the 10.0.0.0 network with an appropriate prefix (subnet mask). |
Next Hop IP Address | Enter the next hop IP address on the south bound interface of the Versa Director towards the controller or router that connects the controller(s). |
Next Hop Interface | Enter the south bound Exit interface on the Versa Director. |
4. Click OK.
5. Please perform "vsh restart" on the Versa CPE. This will reinstate the post-staging process to restart on the CPE/Director. No need to delete the configs on the Versa CPE and re-run the staging process
