Versa Analytics platform consists of a cluster of analytics, search and log forwarder nodes. A node could be on a physical server or a virtual machine. These nodes run various software components such as database, application and client driver which in turn uses CPU/Memory/Disk/IO resources heavily. For high availability and optimal performance of the platform, it is very critical to monitor the health of the software components and resources periodically.
Versa Analytics Platform can be monitored using an opensource monitoring system Prometheus and visualization using Grafana. Prometheus monitoring system collects the metrics from various end points and stores them in a time-series database. It offers a multi-dimensional data model, a flexible query language, and diverse visualization possibilities through tools like Grafana.
