Overview
This article provides the steps to change the WAN IP address of a controller.
⚠️ Important: If you have only one controller and a single WAN connection on controller, changing the WAN IP will cause all branch devices to lose control plane and management connectivity. Proceed only if you have multiple controllers, and ensure that all branch devices and hubs are connected to another controller before making changes.
Procedure
- Update the WAN IP Address
- Navigate to Appliance View → select the Controller.
- Go to Configuration → Interfaces.
- Click on the WAN interface and update the WAN IP address as required.
- Save and apply the configuration changes.
- Re-deploy the Template
- Navigate to Workflows → Template.
- Select the template associated with your organization.
- Click Skip to Review → Redeploy.
- Repeat this process for all templates where controller with WAN IP got changed.
- Commit Changes to Devices
- After the template is redeployed, commit the changes to all branch and hub devices in your network.
