FAQ | How to troubleshoot LTE issues : Versa Support

Prerequisites:

Obtain a WWAN Link before you configure a WWAN interface, Ensure that the VOS device has an internal modem or that you have an external dongle for the VOS device.

If you are using an internal modem:

• Ensure that the SIM card is activated and working.

• Ensure that the antennas are connected.

If you are using an external dongle:

• Ensure that the SIM card is activated and working.

The VOS device automatically detects the dongle or SIM card, and it then retrieves its IP address.

Side note: LTE (Sierra modem) firmware should only be upgraded post consultation with the Versa tac/engineering, please avoid upgrading the firmware without explicit confirmation from engineering

(1) In case, the LTE SIM is not getting detected or if the SIM is not activated, please review the below steps.
